Injured woman feeling bad after having a car crash

Personal Injury Treatment Options

At Ohio Therapy Centers, our goal is to provide the very best care for your clients.

All of our offices use an integrated approach to treating these types of cases. Each of our facilities has a medical practitioner to provide the initial point of care. These are medically driven care plans.

All of our providers and treatment plans are reviewed by an orthopedic physician that works exclusively with us. Our clinical directors, owners, and practitioners have been in practice, treating personal injury cases for over 20 years.

We pride ourselves in our treatment, documentation, and outcomes with these cases.

An auto accident can cause a wide variety of injuries, from bone fractures and lacerations to musculoskeletal injuries and sometimes even head trauma.

In any of these cases, most will require medical treatment and rehabilitation. We understand how to examine and correctly diagnose injuries that are specific to the forces involved in MVAs. Part of our examination will include concussion evaluation, x-rays specific to ligamentous damage, MRI if necessary and orthopedic evaluation, and surgical and/or pain management recommendations if needed.

Whiplash, along with spine, back, neck, and shoulder injuries, can cause chronic pain and limit mobility, stealing away your client’s quality of life. If there are permanent injuries, our final report will acknowledge what percentage your client is impaired and the cost of future care will be noted and explained.

The treatment plans available at Ohio Therapy Centers for personal injury patients may include:

Orthopedics

Orthopedic care is provided to any injury or condition that affects your muscles, bones, cartilage, joints, tendons, or ligaments. We use medications, trigger point injections, and large joint injections to aid in the rehabilitation program that is specifically designed on a individual basis.

The integrated medical approach, that we use at all of our offices, works to achieve optimum results through comprehensive treatment with the continuity of care that is often not available at other facilities.

Chiropractic Care

Our Chiropractic Physicians are referred patients from our medical providers that have injuries such as whiplash, mTBI, Concussions, sprain/strain injuries, and/or disc herniations.

Motor vehicle injuries can cause spinal vertebrae misalignment, impairing a wide range of body functions.

Even in cases where a person feels no pain, a misaligned spine can interfere with the body’s natural healing processes and adversely affect their health. Our doctors provide the recommended chiropractic care in conjunction with medical treatment and physical rehabilitation to achieve maximum results for your clients.

Mild Traumatic Brain Injury (mTBI) Treatment

In our experience, Concussions and Traumatic Brain Injuries are often under-diagnosed in motor vehicle accidents. It is imperative that your client’s are referred to facilities that have the capabilities and understanding to not only diagnose and document the injuries but also treat the complicated findings of these diagnoses.

Using a variety of standardized tests, starting with a Rivermead Test, a Neuropathic supported diagnosis with be determined along with an appropriate treatment regime. We correctly evaluate, document, and treat brain injuries.

This exam may include x-rays or order a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan to see what the extent of nerve or tissue damage. When necessary, we can provide pain management options for your injured client.

Platelet-Rich Plasma Injections

  • When your clients are diagnosed with ligament or tendon tears that are non-surgical, a PRP injection may be warranted.

  • PRP injections administer concentrated platelets from the client’s own blood into damaged joint space, cartilage, or tendons to reduce pain and aid in the healing process.

  • PRP helps to rebuild these tissues and can be used for common tendon injuries, such as tennis elbow, and to repair cartilage or ligament damage such as a knee.

  • PRP injections are sometimes performed in a series, but many clients often only require one injection to see results.

  • These injections provide optimum results with minimal cost and often prevent surgery.
